The Government of Mongolia on 28 October 2020 has decided to extend the partial undertaking of high-alert preparedness and to temporarily suspend entry of all passengers through all border checkpoints of Mongolia effective immediately to the end of 31 December 2020. This decision has been taken to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Mongoila to date has registered 340 cases, of which 312 have recovered, and 28 patients are undergoing treatment at the National Canter of Communicable Diseases. Mongolia is one of the few countries that does not have community transmission, thanks primarily to the early strick lockdown and COVID-19 pandemic response measures and actions.
